The Landmark
Perhaps the main criterion of a good spa is the skill with which its therapists administer their treatments. An the Landmark can't be faulted on that score. Sister to the 5-star hotel of the same name, they are pass masters in the art of massage. The Japanese masseuse knows her stuff to judge from her first-rate pummelling and kneeding. Aches and pains vanish, as her skilful hands work their magic. Other treatments include skin brightener, holistic hot stone total body care; holistic back, face and scalp hot stone treatment; jet-lag reviver; full body massage; aromatherapy massage; back, neck and shoulder massage; aromatherapy sports and fitness massage; holistic total body care; an amazingly comprehensive assortment of facials; “body exfoliation”; pre-natal treatment and “stimulating hip and thigh treatment”. No surprises perhaps, but you'd need to go along way to find better. Expect the usual well-heeled crowd: housewives from the Home counties, rich Americans, and business men with bad digestion but a good portfolio.
