Ohhhh, aaah, mmmmn....just some of the sounds you may well make during treatment here. This erstwhile 13th fortress, from which Lady Macbeth would have longed to fling herself, is now a fine hotel with a not unimpressive spa. Marrying relaxing and therapeutic spa treatments, spa aqueous is the first hydro spa in Scotland. Stand-out features include the Hydro Pool, with its multi-massage jet pool, the Laconium, a Roman-style sauna, the Hammam and perhaps best of all the Tropical Rain and Cold Fog shower, which is not unlike stepping out of the Amazonian Rain Forest into a cloud of sea harr on Loch Lomond.
